Risk Management Application (RMA) -- What is it?
The Washington Youth Soccer Risk Management program is in place to identify and assess potential risks for our soccer community and to then monitor and minimize the probability and/or impact those risks could pose.
Managing risk ranges from making sure all players wear shin guards to providing background checks for all of our volunteers, coaches and staff. The WA Youth Soccer Risk Management Program includes the US Youth Soccer Kids Safe Program which provides guidelines for creating the safest possible environment for our players and the Washington Youth Soccer Insurance Program.
Who needs to maintain an "Approved" RMA (Risk Management Application)?
All coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, referees and parents helping with the team must complete a national background check through Affinity. The Risk Management application is submitted via an online form on the Affinity Sports website. Once you are logged onto the NYSA website, click on Member: Risk Management. From here you will find a link to the Washington Youth Soccer Volunteer RMA logon page for the Affinity Sports website.
